This is the website of freelance journalist and writer Joanna Simmons. It contains some examples of recent work, a brief CV and contact details.
I am a freelance journalist and writer and I have been working in UK print at national level for more than 18 years. During this time I have written about interiors, parenting and rural issues, property and travel, too. For the last 11 years I've been a self-employed journalist working mainly for magazines and national newspapers as a feature contributor, with ocassional stints working in-house, editing and commissioning.
I have also written several books on interiors, a humorous 'non-guide' to parenting called Can I Give Them Back Now? and I am currently working on a series of four fiction books for young readers, the first of which, Pip Street - A Whiskery Mystery, was published by Scholastic on 4 March 2013.
